Starting Your Body Detoxification

Detoxification has become a prominent treatment, as we are more aware of the pollutions in our environment, from our household cleaning products along with the consumer products we use.


Present day compared to say twenty years ago, we are all carrying toxins in our bodies that Mother Nature never intended us to bear.


These toxins or chemical pollutants sits quietly, sometimes for years, within our bodies and eventually reveal themselves through chronic illness. They are suspected to cause cancer, affect how our hormones are functioning and also birth abnormalities.


For you to be healthy you must get the “garbage out”.  So how do you take the garbage out?

So How Do We Take The Garbage Out?


It all comes down to our lymphatic system. Your immune system and the lymphatic system are intricately entwined.


Lymphatic System

The lymphatic system is our garbage collection system or passive drainage system (cardiovascular system is the active drainage system).  


It’s a series of vessels and organs that contain lymph. It doesn’t have a pump like our blood vessels do (the heart). Instead, we need to move it around mechanically. 


It drains excess fluid (lymph) that leaks out of our blood vessels and into our tissues.


Without this function, we would swell up (edema) and die within 24 hours.  It’s important to keep our lymph flowing to remove the garbage from our body and keep the blood clean and clear.


Because the lymph flows mechanically, we must help it move through our body.  There are no pumps so how do we get it going.


Now there are two kinds of toxins water-soluble and fat-soluble.


Water-soluble toxins are easily flushed out of the body via the blood, skin and kidneys.


Fat-soluble toxins are a challenge for the body to remove. Fat-soluble toxins such as heavy metals, pesticides, preservatives, food additives, pollutants, plastics and other environmental chemicals must become water-soluble for the body to eliminate them fully. 


This happens mostly in the liver, but if our body detoxification pathways and digestive system are not functioning optimally, these toxins get stored in the liver, fat cells, joints, muscles, bone marrow, tissues and the brain, where they can be stored for years.


Moving the Lymph: There are several ways to keep the lymph flowing so the garbage doesn’t accumulate in the cells. These methods let the nutrients from the blood get to the cells and help the waste products move out. 


  • Deep breathing

  • Rebounding

  • Massage

  • Exercise and movement

  • Topical application of castor oil*

*Castor oil is absorbed through the skin and several positive events take place. The lymphocyte count of the blood increases. Lymph flow improves throughout the body speeding the removal of cellular-related toxins and reducing swollen lymph nodes.
